Medical Mission: Philippines

Last month our organization, Mission:BRAIN (Bridging Resources and Advancing International Neurosurgery) went to the Manila, Philippines for our first surgical mission there and our team wore your beautiful caps.  We have been doing surgical missions to Guadalajara, Mexico for the last three years and this year was our first foray to the Philippines.  The mission of our group is two pronged: provide advanced neurosurgical care and help train and educate and have an exchange of ideas among neurosurgical teams in underdeveloped areas.
I just want to let you know about us and how your caps have made the trip extra special and colorful.  Before we left the Philippine General Hospital, the staff there loved your hats so much that we ended up giving them away to them, with one hat worn by Dr. Michael Lawton, our neurosurgeon, being auctioned off and given as a price to their hardest working resident.  The hats have been such a cheerful addition to the mission that we've decided to make it a permanent part of our trips.  As you can see in the attached photos we've added our own little touch to the hats.
Personally, I've been wearing your caps all these years at work and now I'm so happy that they will be part of something that is very dear to my heart.
All the best,
April
